Tanzania Safari The crescent azure coves of Lake Tanganyika appear like flashes of silk, and the park behind offers a wonderful view. Lake Tanganyika is home to more than 250 species of fish. The park is unique in botanicogeographic terms as it is the confluence of easten, southern, and western vegetation and wildlife. Here the congo type forests meet with the Miombo woodland that covers much of southern Tanzania and savannah vegetation that is more characteristic of northern Tanzania.
