Environmental activists have stepped a fresh round of campaigns to halt the planned controversial giveaway of a section of Mabira forest reserve to a sugarcane planter.

I what they called “save mabira crusade part two” the anti Mabira giveaway crusaders said this time around the protest would not only be here in the country but it would be an international demonstration.

The added that they were very ashamed of the government for blind folding them and pretending that Mabira was safe when actually the plans were still in the offing.

The environmental experts claim the Government intends to give away 7100 hectares of the forest land to a private investor, Mehta.
