A Ugandan  trade fruit company has won an international green energy award for operating a pioneering sustainable energy project.

The company based in Njeru, southern Uganda won more than 61 millions Uganda shillings awarded by the world’s leading energy prize during the award ceremony held in London recently.

The Ashden award was presented to Angello Ndyaguma the managing director of fruits of the nile .
