The Rwenzori Mountains have got a favour from the eleven villages of Kilembe to protect the national park’s vegetation. The new association by the name of Nyamwamba Community Development Association is set to protect the national park’s vagetation and also a campaign to stop poaching. Rwenzori mountains national park is one of the top mountain climbing destinations in East Africa.

The Rwenzoris highest peaks are trekked by the most daring hikers. Among other attractions in this park include a variety of bird species including the Rwenzori Turaco. The vegatation include the Giant Lobelias.
