Three poachers were on Sunday arrested in Nakaseke with loads of smoked game meat, on a truck.

While on a patrol, Pioneered by Lt.Emmanuel Ecoot the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) enforcement staff captured an Isuzu track together with their hunting gadgets including; 77 spears, 18 pangas and nets used by the suspected poachers.

Ecoot said that, the captured truck and the suspects were intercepted at 8.15pm at Wakyato, 26 miles on the Luweero-Ngoma road. The victims are held with their gadgets at the Luwero police station.

The police chief of Luwero, Moses Otala, said that the suspects will be charged with violating the Wildlife Act.
