Gorilla Safaris contribute 70 percent earnings

As tourism tops the list of foreign exchange earners in Uganda, Gorilla tourism in Uganda cashes in 70 percent revenue to the Uganda wildlife authority.

For every gorilla safari, each person will part with USD 375 which goes to the UWA. Starting July this year, the fee will be raised to USD 500 per gorilla permit.

UWA raises money from park entrances and permits which include the chimpanzee and gorilla permits. It also provides accommodation in the national parks. The UWA camps are common in the national parks.

All tour operators in Uganda provide different itineraries for this top attraction of Uganda.
