A Ugandan student has designed CHOGM logo which has been recently sent to London for approval. In relation to that, a number of children below 18 years participated in the competition for the design of the logo before one was finally chosen.

The Commonwealth Activities’ preparatory Report has revealed that supplementary funding might be required during the 2006/7 financial year for the CHOGM.

In addition, the report revealed that sh65bn was allocated for the event’s activities including publicity, transport, accommodation, infrastructure, accreditation, security, delegates’ health and other relevant activities. The preliminary budgeted funds required for the summit summed up to sh106.6b.According to the budget allocations.However, shs5.8bn of the sh65bn remains unallocated.
