Uganda is to host the 8th Commonwealth Women Affairs Ministers’ Meeting (WAMM) next year;said Gender Minister Syda Bumba.
She added that,Government saved UG SHS900M for the conference to be held in Kampala from June 11th to 14th.
Bbumba said the conference aims at promoting gender equality, accelarate women’s empowerment as well as paving way for Global Gender Policy.
The Minister unveiled this information at the launch of WAMM preparations and website,www.mglsd.go.ug/8wamm) at the ministreal board room.
