The British foreign office is increasingly anxious that the Queen visit to Uganda may be cancelled due to security fears.

According to Guardian Unlimited, a senior Government source warned ” Iam increasingly worried it wont happen…You can’t have the Queen visiting if people are shooting each other on the streets.”

According to Guardian Unlimited, there is a growing concern about the rule to Yoweri Museveni the president who had been widely feted for bringing stability and economic development to Uganda.

The Abolition of presidential term limits before last year’s elections, increased harassment of the opposition, interference with the Judiciary and growing control of the press have drawn criticism from the international community.
