As Uganda enters the new year which will have the international CHOGM conference, Kampala City Council has granted a proposal to set up a 3 star hotel at the former Cricket groung , Lugogo.
The hotel targets ths CHOGM conference. It will have a swimming pool and indoor games. The hospitality industry is on a fast track development in Uganda because of the need for accommodation facilities in the 2007 meet for Heads of Government. Major existing hotels in Uganda have expanded to increase their occupancy while other new hotels are being constructed.
