NILE COACH BUS FARES CUT

Nile Coach Bus Company has slashed its transport fares. “This fare reduction started around Christmas period and running as a promotion for the period when children are getting back to school. We shall review it after sometime depending on what comes our way,” Mr. Ahmed Abdul Rahaman, the Managing Director of Nile Coach said.

From West Nile to Kampala, the fares have been cut by Shs3, 000. They now charge passengers just Shs15, 000 to travel from Arua to Kampala. The company has also acquired four new buses to improve comfort for travellers. Nile Coach, which dominates public transport service to West Nile, has been operating in the region for 14 years now.

Other companies whose buses ply the 520-kilometer West Nile route include Gaa Gaa, ANKK and Gateway coaches. Due to competition, the bus companies have structured their departure schedules at 5am, 7am and 8am for the convenience of the clients, and with the changes, travellers can spend the night at home and report for travel in the morning without any hassle.
