Its no longer a rumour that the gorilla tracking fees are up from USD 375 to 500. This will take effect in July 2007.
The Uganda Wildlife executive Director, Mr Moses Mapeesa has said Uganda residents will pay shs 150,000 per permit.
This comes after four months when the permits and entrance fees to the National Parks were raised. However other fees still remain intact till July 2008.
Gorilla safaris top the list for tourists in Uganda. A move to increase the fees will improve on the conservation of the endangered species.
