Uganda Wildlife Authority which recently opened Bids for the introduction of privately operated launch boats at Murchison falls National park have received four bids from several companies.
The companies that submitted both financial and technical bids include Nile River Company Limited, G and C Tours, Paara Safari lodge and Kisenya Holdings Limited.
Launch boats are open roof water transport facilities used for water exploration by tourists. Each Boat carries between 15-40 people and its the main attraction at the Murchison Falls National park.
UWA has been operating these Boats, but officials say management has decided to open up to private investors.
