Due to the overwhelming air traffic expected during the Commonwealth Heads of
Government Meeting in 2007, The Civil Aviation Authority has stated the need to expand the passenged terminal to ease airport arrivals and departures.
The assistant spokes person Vianney Luggya said that the seven key projects expected to cost sh 35b will be tendered to different contractors.
Among these projects include the VIPs lounges, two apron drive passengers, erection of security watch towers and others.
