In a move to progress aviation security, Civil Aviation Authority has donated a mobile police patrol vehicle to the Uganda Police Force.
The Nissan Single Cabin Pick-Up, Registration number UP 0651, is to be used at Entebbe International Airport and surrounding areas.
The CAA Board Chairman, Mr Zephaniah Baliddawa, handed over the vehicle to the Commissioner of Police in Charge of Community Affairs, Mr Asan Kasingye, at Entebbe International Airport Police Station .
Baliddawa said the donation was in line with CAA’s policy on corporate social responsibility and the importance of airport surveillance to aviation security.
Earlier, the CAA Managing Director, Mr Ambrose Akandonda, replicated the good working relations between the Uganda Police Force and aviation security personnel.
He said there is need to guarantee that the Kampala- Entebbe highway was safe.
