Bujagali power project settlement plan is in the procedure of being amended for survey and valuation, following a call for bids by Uganda Electricity Transmission Company (UETCL)
The survey and valuation process for the source of the power will start, at Bujagali and the intention of the bids is to make an appraisal of the social, economic and environmental issues relating to procurement of the line and groundwork of the new RAP.
The construction of the dam will increase power production and supply in Uganda and the neighbouring countries.This will increase indusralisation and attract investors to Uganda.
Bid documents cost a non-refundable fee of sh150, 000. They can be inspected, issued and delivered to the procurement office at Amber House in Kampala.
The delivery deadline is December 7 and bid security is $2,500 (about sh4.5m)
