Rwanda Gorilla Safaris
LIFESTYLE OF THE GORILLA
Gorillas settle in groups consisting of about 25 to 35 members. Oftentimes there is one principal masculine, accompanied by plentiful females with their offspring.
When a infant gorilla is born it weighs on prevalent 2. 5 kg, which is about half the amount of a human infant. However, this baby develops twice as fast! Within 40 weeks it can stroll and drawing near 3 years it slowly becomes independent. At 6 age they are about 1. 20 meter tall and weigh about 70 kg. At this tide the female gorilla matures, though they remain gaining weight for the next 4 years. The males only mature when they are 10 years old. when their black backs change to grey, they stand considering moving away from the group and forming their own. They enjoy moving alone or even moving another group as the plot to attract female gorillas who will join them to form a new group, this is how gorilla families are made!

The reproduction cycle of the gorillas is rated as very low ! You cant image a gorilla giving birth to a baby every after 4 years. This explains why their population does not expand rapidly. Take into consideration that 30% of the gorillas do not survive their first 5 years due to accidents and diseases ! Its bad to imagine of a situation where the group owner or silver back dies! The predecessor kills all the babies to ensure his own genes in the posterity! Are humans hiding this??!!
Much as it has been argued that the chimpanzees share 98% of the human genes, the gorillas take all the resemblance! You will find their feet and hands like ours only that they are romantically hairy! Gorillas have the highest social aspects in life and relationships are alway valuable. You will find feelings of all sorts, loving, hating, jealosy, hate, e.t.c beating on the chest is a sign of intimidation. 20 distinct vocalization shows the tongue ability.
Unlike in the movies, Aggression is rarely seen within gorilla families. Dont get mistaken by their impressive looks, they are very gentle and peace loving. In case of danger they always stand up for each other and defend the weaker gorillas. Expect a serious fight when two leaders fo different groups meet each other!
Mountain gorillas are the major attraction in Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. The only remaining population of these endangered apes needs to be conserved by you and me. All policies in these 3 destinations encourage conservation of wildlife in the parks and environmental protection of the natural resources. We also echo the same sentiments and believe in conservacy trends. We dont not encourage hunting sfaris in any way.
