Tracking the gorillas can me done almost anytime of the year but just like any other place, there is always the best time to be somewhere. Its important to note that the rain season affect the paths making them harder to navigate. Take note of the season,,march-April and October-November.
Bwindi National Park, hire a tour operator who will drive you to the final destination in Buhoma. You need to keep aside at least 10 hours for the road.
As for Mgahinga, you take on a route from Kampala to Kibale, about 6-8 hrs drive, after Kibale, you continue to Kisoro, driving on a very bumpy and rather uncomfortable road. The Mgahinga park is located 6 miles outside the park head quarters.
As for Rwanda, getting to PNV is an easy 45 minutes drive from the capital city of Rwanda, Kigali.
