Mweya Safari Lodge is located on a peninsula within the heart of the Queen Elizabeth National Park. One of the best Uganda Safari lodges with luxurious accommodation offered in self contained rooms, strategically set to allow breathtaking views of the fresh water lake Edward and the Kazinga channel from every room.
The safari lodge is set amidst Uganda’s prime wildlife sanctuary, renowned for diversity of flora and fauna including game attractions like Antelopes, Kobs, Buffaloes, lions, Elephants, waterbuck, hippos, crocodiles, the rare shoe bill , baboons and monkeys. Plant life is characterized by the savannah woodlands and grassland and shrubs, dominated by the Euphorbia specie.
Accommodation ranges from the presidential cottage, royal cottage, Rwenzori cottage, deluxe, suites to twin and triple share rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms and electricity ad well as private balcons facing the Kazinga channel and Lake Edward.
The safari lodge offers a wide range of facilities the Tembo safari bar, a poolside bar; Kazinga restaurant which serves international cuisine; a well maintained swimming pool, Conference and board room, DSTV, a souvenir shop selling safari gear, toiletries, and books.
Activities include game drives, nature photography, bird watching, launch cruise along the Kazinga channel and chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura Gorge.
