Top Pastry shops in Uganda
A pastry shop is where you go to buy pastries. Pastries are flour-based, food baked in an oven such as bread, cookies, cakes, pizzas and pies they are basically products got out of flour, sugar, milk, butter, baking powder, and eggs. If you are a lover of baked products and have a knack in creating appetizing pastries, these shops usually provide several mouth watering edible options to choose from. The goodness about Uganda’s pastry shops is that most of them offer a serene environment for you to eat while you peruse through a newspaper or read a book. Most pastry shops in Kampala are small in size and here are a few of them.
Hot loaf. This shop has existed in Uganda for over 30years and has several outlets distributed around the country. It is one of Uganda’s oldest pastry shops selling cakes, bans, bread, samosas, pies and cookies but one of the products that has seen many people running to its stores is the yellow bread. Hot loaf produces one of the best yellow bread there is in Uganda.
La patisserie
at Acacia mall. This pastry shop also doubles as a restaurant and coffee shop so most times even those eating at the restaurant are usually swayed away by the aroma from the bakery.The bar-restaurant has a very favourable position overlooking the street so you not only feed your stomach but also your eyes and soul. They have great service delivery so pass by la patisserie anytime you crave something sweet.
Cafe bravo
. It also has a coffee shop and restaurant. Every time i think of anything better to eat, Cafe Bravo is my best choice. they offer heart warming coffee which Ofcourse you gulp down with pastries. Even though cafe bravo isn’t in a wide space, you are treated to privacy as you enjoy your taste-buds because of the booth-like seats. They also have excellent Service, What you need is what you are served and in its real state!
Karveli
at Lumumba Avenue. It’s located on the outskirts of the busy Kampala noise. Secluded from the bash and business of the city centre, Karveli offers a perfect hideout for someone to eat, read, laugh and talk in peace. Their bites are as awesome as the place offering cookies, cakes, pies, cookies and biscuits. They also have the best ice cream and their gelato game is top notch. Whether you’re full or out of money, Karveli is a pastry shop you won’t want to leave once you’ve visited it.
Cake and bread shop
at Dewinton Road and bombo road. It’s not merely cake and bread at Cake and Bread shop, but there are other edibles like samosas, cookies and biscuits. The shop is more of a walk-in and walk-out that is; you buy something and go enjoy it somewhere else.
Brood
. Is a multinational store with real tasty 100% pure sourdough bread made with love!!! Bread in all sizes, texture, colour is found at Brood Uganda . Brood comes from a Dutch word to mean bread and it’s all bready at the different Brood stores found at several malls in Uganda.
cafesserie
at Acacia mall. It offers Concept Italian coffee , French Bakery and continental cuisines plus a delicious and wide range of ice cream to choose from. Cafesserie has a cozy, relaxed environment.
Things to do at a pastry shop
Something to note about all these shops is that they each offer a tranquillity and a delicacy different from others so why not have fun while you’re at the pastry!
