Costantino Tessarin is the official
photographer of Aboutuganda.com.
Born in Italy on the 25th June 1973, graduated in Contemporary
History in Bologna and completed the master degree MSc in Development
Studies at SOAS, University of London.
Amazed by the beauty of Uganda, he decided to seriously commit
himself to marketing the images of the country so that these could
translate into dreams for many people. Living in Kampala and working
as a tour organizer and tour guide, he spends most of the time moving
around and upcountry with his own camera, which he likes so much.
The most important thing for him is to show the best of Uganda,
the great opportunities of the country. That is why he is a bit
tired of hearing the comments of some foreign developmental worker.
Even though everything in his own house looks to be African style,
he cannot totally forget his Italian origin, especially when listening
to the music of Loredana Bertè and Alice, cooking some good
pasta with ragù and watching the movies of Federico Fellini
and Pier Paolo Pasolini. Why Mahatma Ghandi? Of course.
Being photographer and traveller requires at least a minimum physical
practice, that is why he could perform so well at the Kampala Marathon.
After the Rwenzori adventures, many others will come. The good thing
is that every new day is a new idea which starts growing up.
