There are many money transfer services and outlets almost everywhere in Uganda. It should not be a problem finding one to make a transaction in this day and age! There are different services to make transfers and here is a guide to finding the right transfer company that will charge you less for every amount you send.
Bank transfers are used by commercial banks and other financial institutions. You can actually send a check to some one in another continent and cash is given to the recipient deducting a small fee for foreign exchange and other bank charges. Wire transfer is also another form of credit transfer supported by banks. Bank transfer services are available to account holders and non-customers with immediate cash releases for a small fee or charge.
Money Orders are made to pay a specified amount of money to a recipient. Normally the amount from which the money order is deducted is prepaid in a bank or any other financial institutions. An example of a typical money order can involve paying USD 10 from a prepaid USD 5000 and such! Banks record the history of money orders for a particular account holder. It is more secure way to transfer checks and other financial documents.

Cash transfers are another way to get money transferred directly between people, across continents. It is the easiest, safest and most common way to send and receive money. A transaction is handled by an agent domestically and well as in the transfer destination. Many companies have invested in money transfer services especially for cash transfers boosting a wide network of transfer outlets. Some companies can reliably send and receive cash transfer in a matter of minutes, depending on the sender’s location. Cash transfers can be made in any currency and received at a number of outlets throughout the country

Many transfer charges and rates differ with different companies or service providers. It is very important to find a service that will charge your transaction for less. Transfer companies are said to be less costly than banking institutions in both time (wasted while waiting in queues) and charges. Many small businesses prefer transfer companies over bank’s wire transfers thus saving on transfer charges. There are also online agents with transfer services at cheaper, fast and convenient ways.
