Cape Verde Holidays

Cape Verde is the latest holiday gem in Africa holidays. The country is a set of 10 islands located off the coast of Senegal West Africa. The country has mild temperatures and the weather is good all through the year thanks to the cool current blowing from the seas.
Santiago is the largest island in Cape Verde hosting Praia which is the capital city. Other interesting islands to visit include Boa Vista and Sal which have the main airports in Cape Verde.Mt Fogo is one of the tourist attractions in Cape Verde rising to a significant height of 2829m. This active volcano is great for hiking and nature walks. Other nature tours take you to Serra Malagueta on Santiago Island and to the white sand desert of viana.
If the beach and turquoise ocean are what you are looking forward to, Cape Verde doesn’t disappoint. Monte Craloi Madelo beach is good for yachting, sailing, swimming and other water sporting activities. Other beaches to visit include Calhau and Monte Verde in Sao Vicente Island.
Cape Verde is a blend of Portuguese, Caribbean and Africa lifestyles making it a wonderful place to viist on cultural tours. The music is great and so are the restaurants. There are hotels for every island accessed using charter flights. Some of the popular hotels include Club Riu Funana on Sal Island and Hotel Riu Karamboa in Boa Vista Island.
Travelling to Cape Verde is easy by flight. There are direct flights from Lisbon, Boston, Amsterdam, London, Manchester and Paris with many airlines such as TAVC, and Air Portugal among others. South African Airways also offer flights from Johannesburg to Praia twice a week. Major Airlines in West Africa also have direct flights to Praia, thrice a week with departures from Dakar Senegal
