Cape Verde is the latest holiday gem in Africa holidays. The country is a set of 10 islands located off the coast of Senegal West Africa. The country has mild temperatures and the weather is good all through the year thanks to the cool current blowing from the seas.

If the beach and turquoise ocean are what you are looking forward to, Cape Verde doesn’t disappoint. Monte Craloi Madelo beach is good for yachting, sailing, swimming and other water sporting activities. Other beaches to visit include Calhau and Monte Verde in Sao Vicente Island.

South African Airways also offer flights from Johannesburg to Praia twice a week. Major Airlines in West Africa also have direct flights to Praia, thrice a week with departures from Dakar Senegal
